Happy Women's Day

Namaste, On the occasion of International Women's Day i wish one and all a very happy women's day, The day to commemorate the equality and success of Women. We at Kritagyata Trust are celebrating fourth year of our #Sweccha activity, and have helped thousands of women with #Menstural awareness and giving them the sanitary napkins on the monthly basis who cant afford to buy the same.

On this occasion of women's day i would like to announce the pilot start of two impactful activities for women from rural areas, they aspire to fly high but lack resources and knowledge. Firstly, we are starting our livelihood project #Prerana for women in Taridalu, a remote village of Gauribidnur, we will be training the women under various verticals and help them sustain themselves to take care of their family.

Next phase of our #AksharabhyasLearningcenter which will focus on teaching basic computers to the #rural women and we aim at creating the earning opportunities for them. This will be the Karnataka border taluk of Bagepalli, in association with #YPAcademy. All the success and reach to the needy could never happen without all of your kind support and trust in our service. Thank you.!

A special gift to girls on women's day

Open defecation, which remains common problem in India, has many costly and terrible impacts on children and women's life. Children's attending schools are facing issues with open defecation in rural parts of bangalore and Karnataka. Children's find difficult to attend schools due to this challenge especially in girl's school. This is leading towards worse concentration and attendance among school children

Open defecation poses a serious threat to the health of children in India.Malnutrition in children is another health problem associated with open defecation.

Poor sanitation gives arise to a number of health problems.A practice that is linked to a host of conditions which hamper a child’s right to survive and thrive.

Inadequate sanitation facilities in schools massively affect girls' dropout. Sanitation in schools has a strong negative impact on girls. Parents expect safe and separate sanitation for their daughters in schools.

Women and girls face shame and a loss of personal dignity and risk their safety.

Good sanitation practices are essential for reducing child morbidity, mortality and stunting.

We must therefore focus on innovative ways of communicating with and convincing people to adopt the habit of using a toilet. This can achieved by fostering social movements and creating the aspiration for every household to own and use a toilet. Children have a key role to play as agents of change in establishing this new norm.

A perfect start to International Women's day 2019 as we gifted 2 more toilets to help the needs of the girls in a Government school of #Guleharavi in  Rural #Tumkur.
